The survey represents the results of questionnaires completed by Amicus (formally MSF) members and non-members covering a number of major employers of IT professionals in the IT and financial services sector and embraces both outsourced and non-outsourced groups of employees. The results are published in the form of league tables of employer performance broken down into 5 categories covering Pay and Conditions; Job Satisfaction and Treatment; Career and Skills Development; Work, Health and Lifestyle; and Employee Representation. Key findings are: in general, non-outsourced groups of employees rate their employer higher than where groups have been outsourced from their original employer IBM is generally rated well and Digital generally poorly by their employees IBM is rated lower under Pay and Conditions and Job Satisfaction and Treatment than might be expected from its rating under other categories ICL is rated highly under Job Satisfaction and Treatment, but lower under Pay and Conditions and Employee Representation Prudential Assurance is rated lower under Career and Skills Development and Work, Health and Lifestyle than might be expected from its rating under other categories NCR is rated lower than expected under Work, Health and Lifestyle than might be expected from its rating under other categories Digital is rated very low in Employee Representation and is the only employer covered which refuses to have any formal dialogue with representatives of Amicus |
